Legal & Terms

All Fees are Non-Refundable: All registration fees, league entry fees, match fees, deposits, and prepayments are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. Team Withdrawal or Dismissal: If a team chooses to exit the league early, abandons a tournament, or is disqualified/suspended by Socca Malta due to disciplinary issues or rule violations, no refunds or credits will be issued for any fees paid. Furthermore, any outstanding balances for the remainder of the season remain legally due and payable.
Socca Malta retains absolute and unilateral discretion over the format, scheduling, and execution of all competitions. We reserve the right to modify any element of the league at any time without prior notice, liability, or financial compensation to participants, including but not limited to: Altering match dates, kickoff times, fixture schedules, and pitch locations. Modifying league structures, group stages, rules, and tournament formats. Adjusting referee appointments, officiating structures, or league management personnel.
While winning or placing highly in the Socca Malta domestic leagues is the traditional pathway to qualifying for International Socca Federation (ISF) Champions League or international tournaments, qualification is never guaranteed. Right of Exclusion: Socca Malta reserves the sole, absolute, and unappealable right to deny, revoke, or exclude any team or individual player from participating in ISF-sanctioned events or international tournaments. Grounds for Exclusion: This exclusion can be applied even if the team technically "qualified" through on-field performance. Grounds for exclusion include, but are not limited to: disciplinary history, poor sportsmanship, unpaid balances, administrative non-compliance, or actions that bring the reputation of Socca Malta or the ISF into disrepute. No Compensation: If a team is barred or excluded from an ISF event by Socca Malta, the organization is not liable for any financial losses, travel expenses, accommodation costs, or damages incurred by the team or its players.
Assumption of Risk: Football is a physical sport involving inherent risks of injury. By registering and stepping onto the pitch, all players explicitly assume all risks of injury, illness, permanent disability, or death. Waiver of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Maltese law, Socca Malta, its directors, staff, referees, volunteers, and venue providers shall not be held liable for: Any personal injury, medical emergency, or physical harm suffered by a player or spectator. Any loss, theft, or damage to personal property or vehicles at the venue. Any indirect, consequential, or economic losses suffered by a team or player resulting from league cancellation, postponement, or scheduling shifts. Insurance: Teams and individual players are solely responsible for securing their own private medical, health, and personal accident insurance coverage.
Content Capture: By entering the facility and participating in Socca Malta events, you acknowledge and agree that you may be photographed, filmed, or recorded by official media personnel. Irrevocable License: You grant Socca Malta and the ISF a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, and irrevocable license to use, publish, broadcast, and distribute these photographs, videos, and audio recordings for promotional, journalistic, commercial, and archival purposes. Permanent Archive: You explicitly agree that your name, team roster affiliation, player statistics (goals, appearances, discipline), and match media form a part of a permanent public sporting archive. This data will remain publicly viewable on our website and social media networks indefinitely, continuing long after the specific league or season has concluded.
All teams and players must strictly abide by the official Socca Malta rulebook, the ISF code of conduct, and fair play principles. Disciplinary Power: Socca Malta reserves the right to issue fines, deduct points, forfeit matches, suspend players, or permanently ban entire teams for violent behavior, referee abuse, racism, vandalism, or any conduct deemed detrimental to the league.
These Terms & Conditions, and any disputes arising from participation in Socca Malta events, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malta. Any legal proceedings must be brought exclusively before the courts of Malta.
